Neiman’s Family Market

The Neiman’s Family and their four stores in Michigan were a new customer for us.  Their St. Clair store was a recent addition to their group. The store was an acquisition of a former Farmer Jack’s store that had been built in 2000. The interior was bland and not at all representative of the Neiman’s brand.

Discussion was undertaken to learn more about the Neiman’s culture. By viewing their other stores, we were able to gain guidance to help integrate this store into the proper Neiman’s style. Learning about their operation and what they do especially well, helped to create a plan to emphasize those strengths.

Material choices, case and fixture choices and décor that reinforces their brand and product quality all came together to create a very appealing environment. The perimeter of this store sings. Produce, deli, prepared foods, gourmet popcorn and service meat departments highlight your initial shopping experience. The introduction of a healthy living department and an enhanced wine and spirits department are strong upgrades to the store.

A comfortable and lively café seating area that is a real draw for the community allows the customer to enjoy a on premise made bagel or bagel sandwich that is beyond compare.

Ultimately, the St. Clair Neiman’s is a jewel. Its fresh look elevates it, so it fits with their other stores. It conveys the “family” theme which is so prevalent in the Neiman’s branding. Best of all it showcases the quality of product and rightly positions the Neiman’s stores in the marketplace.
